UltraBright™ Series LED solderless connector - Strip to Strip Connector - 10mm
These solderless connectors were created to allow you to easily connect your LED strips together in seconds without soldering. Our Flexfire LEDs Solderless Connectors have been designed to fit securely to the strip and can be used on strips with a high LED count. Though soldering is always the best option for a long lasting connection, our connectors will create a secure connection in a few simple steps.
These connectors are compatible with the following UltraBright Series: Design, Architectural, and High CRI Series.
We recommend to solder your LED strip lights for a stronger connection.
Please follow the instructions while installing.
- The wire length is 6''
- Wire Gauge: 22AWG
- Amperage maximum: 5 amps
- Connector is 5/8'' (16mm) wide in total
What are the advantages of solderless connectors?
- No soldering required
- Install LED strip lights in seconds
- Easily attach an additional strip to the run of lights
- Easy to connect and disconnect
What do I do If my lights aren't lighting up
- Re-open the connector and gently push the LED strip in all the way.
- The red wire is not always positive! Depending on the side of the LED strip you hook the connector up to, red and black can be - or + because the wire is red. Make sure you follow the positive (+) and negative (-) markings on the strip to indicate which colored wire will be positive and which will be assigned negative.
- Also, make sure the tray is closed all the way. If the lights slip out of the connector it is not closed all the way. Be gentle!
- Check your power supply and make sure it is hooked up correctly and correct + and - also.

Are these connectors a better option than soldering directly to the LED strip?
We always suggest soldering as the best option for a long term solution. Sometimes the connectors can be bumped or knocked off. In high vibration areas, it may cause the strip to come loose from the connector. Soldering is better.
Quick Installation Guide (please read)
Although soldering is the best way to maintain a long lasting connection, the solderless connectors are a great way to get your project going quickly. When installed correctly, the connectors should not be loose and should provide a secure connection.

have not been able to get any to work
They work, but fragile
Posted by Alan on 13th Dec 2015
The connectors grip the strip quite well. They are somewhat fragile and easily broken when trying to remove them.

it's a snap to chain led strips together with these connectors! Beats the heck out of having to solder everything.
Very quick and simple
Posted by RLA on 13th Aug 2015
I replaced the florescent lights in our kitchen with four 3' LED strips mounted inside the existing fixture - it was quick and simple and there is now so much light my wife calls it her "sunroom". Since I used four strips off a 16' reel (laid out where the tubes had been), I jumpered them together with the solderless strips.
Worked as expected

Worked perfectly as expected and the directions from FlexFire are very good.
Good for the price

Some of them worked great and some were a little difficult.
Very easy to use strip to strip connectors
Posted by Jeremy C. on 21st Apr 2015
After reading all the reviews and listening to customer service, I used the strip to strip connectors with 'NO' problems. Follow the instructions and you will not have any problems during the Installation.

I used these to connect longer runs, 1 of these cut in half then both ends used to connect to 16-gauge across segments.
Fragile but works
Posted by Unknown on 18th Dec 2014
Easier than soldering, but order extras because I broke few of them while trying to get them connected. The plastic snaps are very fragile and break easily if not handled properly. The top and bottom could be better marked so that you know which opening to insert the light strip.

good idea but they should come in different lengths other than the six inch.
can stop working and come loose easily
Posted by Unknown on 30th Jun 2014
Let me start by stating that I am using them in vehicle. So they are subjected to vibrations but in a home would probably be fine. But I have had 5 of them stop working and several that keep coming loose. I would just recommend soldering them if using in a vehicle.
very breakable but do work

order a few extra... definitely not a super secure hold but seems to do ok
Easiest and Quickest Way to Connect Your Strips
Posted by Jerome on 17th Jun 2013
Love these things for connecting strips, easy alternative to on-site soldering or tedious off-site fabrication. Oh you want to hook up to a power source? Just cut off one end and you have a solderless to power connector! Like the other review, the only issue is when using them with channels, as they are a quite bit wider than the tape itself, and that's why I gave it 4 stars.
Good product but short on info
Posted by Unknown on 25th May 2013
While the product worked well as a connector, nowhere was it mentioned that it was much wider than the 10mm LED tape, and so didn't fit in aluminum profiles made for that width of tape. It would nice to add text saying that these will work only with channels of certain width.
Fast and Easy

These connectors are very fast and easy to use.
Better than the rest!

I bought these to add extra lights to an existing light kit for a scale model. This product is Waaaay more robust than the stock lighting kit. Heavier guage wire, and heavier slide bars. Great!
