What does Lumen mean?
Lumen (LM) the measurement of light perceived by the human eye. This is currently a popular way to measure light output as opposed to older ways such as watts. Our high intensity ultra bright flexible LED strip lights produce an incredible amount of light. Don't just compare lumen output when selecting LEDs, there are other considerations.

What is a Single-Color White LED Strip Light?
A single color LED strip light gives off just one color, like cool white, warm white, or neutral white. It does not change colors or shift shades—it stays the same the whole time it's on.
These are great if you want consistent lighting for things like under cabinets, workspaces, shelves, or room accents. They’re easy to install, usually use less power, and normally easier to control. If you don’t need fancy colors and just want clean, bright light, single color strips are a smart choice.
Where Should I Use White LED Strip Lights?
You can use single-color white LED strip lights in kitchens, closets, garages, offices, stores, or anywhere you need bright, consistent light. Warm white is great for cozy spots like bedrooms or living rooms, while cool white is better for work areas, displays, or places that need solid lighting.
Because the strips are thin and flexible, you can easily hide them under shelves, behind trim, or along the ceiling. This gives you a clean, modern look without big or bulky light fixtures.
Can You Dim Single Color LED Strips?
Yes, all white LED strip lights are dimmable if you use the right dimmer or controller. This lets you control how bright the lights are based on what you’re doing or how you want the room to feel.
Here’s how to do it:
- Make sure your LED strip is dimmable. Most are, but check the label or product info to be sure.
- Use a compatible dimmer. For plug-in installs, you can use an inline dimmer that connects between the strip and power supply. For hardwired setups, use a wall dimmer that connects between your 120VAC source and a dimmable driver.
- Connect everything properly. Follow the wiring guide, match the voltage, and check the polarity.
- Test it. Turn on the lights and use the dimmer to adjust the brightness.
You can dim the lights for a cozy evening or turn them up for tasks like reading, working, or cleaning. Dimming also helps reduce eye strain, save energy, and extend the life of your LED strips.
How Do I Choose The Right Color Temperature?
Choosing the right color temperature depends on the mood and purpose of your space.
- Warm white (between 2700K and 3500K) gives off a soft, yellow glow. It’s perfect for living rooms, bedrooms, or anywhere you want a cozy, relaxing feel.
- Neutral white (about 4000K) looks more balanced and natural—like sunlight on a cloudy day. It works well in kitchens, bathrooms, and hallways.
- Cool white (5000K or higher) is bright and crisp with a bluish tone. It’s great for garages, offices, or display areas where you need strong, clear lighting.
If you’re not sure which one to pick, think about how you want the space to feel. Warm tones are calming, cool tones feel energizing, and neutral sits right in the middle.
