Lightshield™ Diffuser with Adhesive for LED Strip Lights
Sometimes you want the elegance and style of that even, diffused glow you get from some aluminum channels—but for simpler locations and surface-mount setups where heat buildup isn’t an issue and metal housings aren’t needed. That’s why we created a straightforward solution to smooth out and protect your lights: the Lightshield™ Diffuser for LED Strip Lights.
With a curved, frosted finish, it keeps your strips safely encased while delivering dotless*, glare-free light. An adhesive backing similar to your LED strips’ makes DIY installation a breeze, and the durable polycarbonate is so easy to clean that your direct-lighting projects are guaranteed to stay bright, protected, and low-maintenance.

Lightshield™ Diffuser FAQ:
Q: What does Lightshield™’s frosted effect do for LED strip lights, and when is it useful?
A: This diffuser softens the light enough to reduce glare and eye strain, and the look you get depends on the LED strip you use—from a soft outline to a fully blended glow. It’s great for direct-view setups like under-cabinet lighting, bookshelves, and display cases, where you want smooth, comfortable lighting. Just note it will slightly reduce your LED strip’s brightness.
Q: On which surfaces can I install the Lighshield™ Diffuser?
A: The Lightshield™ Cover sticks securely to smooth, clean, and non-porous surfaces like metal, glass, sealed wood, and most plastics. Avoid textured, dusty, or porous materials such as raw wood, concrete, or brick, as the bond won’t be reliable.
Q: When is the Lightshield™ Diffuser a better choice than a frosted-cover aluminum channel?
A: If heat dissipation isn’t required for your project, a polycarbonate diffuser gives you a simpler and more budget-friendly alternative. It installs easily with adhesive, blends into surfaces more subtly, and still provides clean, dotless diffusion and essential protection for your strips.
Q: Will it be a good fit for my LED strip light? What about my solderless grip connectors?
A: Yes. The Lightshield™ Diffuser is designed to house all our LED strip lights—from simple single-color and plain-white strips to more advanced RGB + dynamic tunable-white options—making it a perfect solution for all types of projects. It also accommodates solderless grip connectors, so your full setup fits cleanly inside the cover.
Q: What does a 120° beam angle mean for this product?
A: A 120° beam angle means the light spreads out in a wide, even fan instead of a narrow spotlight. For the Lightshield™ Diffuser, it results in soft, comfortable illumination—ideal for ambient, accent, and close-range lighting where you want smooth, gentle coverage.
Q: What do I need to cut the Lighshield™ Diffuser?
A: Cutting the Lightshield™ Cover is simple. A fine-tooth hacksaw or heavy-duty shears will work just fine. For the neatest, straightest results, we recommend grabbing a miter saw (be sure to use a blade safe for plastic!) or a miter box. Just remember to measure twice and cut slowly—that prevents the polycarbonate from chipping.
