Read Below for a Quick Guide on How to Build your Own LED Strip Light Kit:
01. Choose Your Brightness Level:
The beauty of selecting either of our RGB Color Changing strips is that you decide which color fits your mood at any given time. The selection of brightness really just boils down to personal preference and application, but if you’d like our advice we recommend the following:
Soft Output - RGB150 LED Strip Light for toe kicks, softly highlighting architectural features, mirror accents, bookcase/cupboard shelving, soft backlighting, stairs, headboards, behind TVs, under/over cabinets, gaming rooms, underneath bed frames and more.
Mid Output - RGB 300 LED Strip Light for rich accent applications, displays, under cabinet, and above cabinet lighting, and more.
High Output - RGB 600 LED Strip Light for dramatic cove lighting, displays, boldly accentuating architectural features, backlighting stained glass or onyx, signage lighting and more.
02. Choose Your Spool Length:
03. Choose Your Control Method:
Select option "Smart Controller" if you are looking for a color changing controller that you can control with your phone that is also able to connect to your smart home device. Here you can set scenes, timers, and automations.
Select option "Smart Controller and Remote" if you want all the benefits mentioned above as well as having a basic, handheld remote control that will adjust the brightness and color of your lights. This option works great as well if you don’t want the functionalities of a smart controller as the remote works via RF.

RGB Color Changing LED Strip Light Kit FAQ
Q: What is the product warranty?
Because of our unyielding confidence in the quality of our product, we offer a 15-year warranty on our ColorBright™ RGB 150 and RGB 300 Color Changing LED strip lights, while our RGB 600 Color Changing LED strip lights have a 7-year warranty. For more info, please read our warranty policy and learn how Flexfire LEDs have the longest warranty on the market.
Q: What is the lifespan of your strip lights?
Our lights have been rigorously tested and have an expected lifespan of 50,000 hours before dropping to 70% luminosity. This means that if you were to use your lights 12 hours a day, every day, the lights would be expected to last longer than 10 years. Even after that time has elapsed, the lights will maintain a brightness of 70%. Higher-output strips require a heat sink to reach the expected lifespan and beyond.
Q: What are lumens?
Lumens are a quantifiable amount of light produced by an LED source. In other words, this is one way we can measure how much light is produced. When comparing LED strip lights, you want to compare the lumen output as well as the CRI, watts/foot, warranty, and bin selection.
Q: How do I mount the lights?
The 3M double-sided adhesive on the back of the LED strip allows you to install the lights in most locations. Be sure to thoroughly clean the surface to remove all dust and particulate matter before mounting the strip. Certain surfaces may require you to take additional measures to secure the strips lights into place. Feel free to call us with any questions.
Q: Can I cut the strips myself?
Yes, our LED strip lights are made to be cut to your desired length. Using sharp scissors, you can cut this strip on every cut mark you see printed on the surface of the strip.
Q: Does my RGB 600 strip need to be placed in a channel?
While a channel isn't required for installation, we highly recommend using an aluminum channel or other metal heat sink for this strip as its high powered nature results in a high strip temperature. Using a metal heat sink with this strip will ensure that it can maximize its lifespan.
Q: Can I use my RGB 600 strip in a recessed application?
Due to the fact that this is a high output strip, it generates more heat than the average LED strip. For this reason we highly recommend against using the RGB 600 in any type of recessed application (even when being used with a channel) to avoid the build up of excess heat that could potentially damage the strip.
