  1. Better than the picture

Yall should update your photo. The power supply is heavy duty and comes with terminal covering which is good so the newbies do not electrocute themselves.

  2. Power supply is OK

Not a lot you can say about a power supply. You put 120VAC in and you get 12 VDC out. Time will tell if the unit is dependable.

Product Description

12v 120W 10A LED Transformers and LED Power Supply

12v 10 Amp LED strip light power supply- Metal Housing!

Purchasing LED power supplies should not be an expensive obstacle to your lighting project. This UL listed 10 amp LED power supply is suitable for most Medium and larger LED strip light projects. This power supply has a metal housing and is switchable from 110AC-220AC. The Flexfire LEDs 10 amp power supply should be installed by an electrician. Installation is very easy with DC female coaxial connectors and LED strip light solderless connectors.

Once you have chosen your LED strip light brand and length desired, you will need a power supply to power your lights. Don't know which LED flexible strip light power supply you need? Look at the graphs below or visit our CHOOSING YOUR POWER SUPPLY page.

IMPORTANT: Remember, an electrician should be consulted before any installations. Household current can be lethal. Be safe. :D

  1. AC cord warning: not to plug it in to the wall until you are ready to turn the lights on. This is the last step
  2. After attaching the AC leads to the transformer the screws are still exposed. Household current is LETHAL. The screws MUST be enclosed before testing.
  3. Tape-only is a poor way to make a permanent connection. Need wire nuts or some other mechanical device or solder with shrink tube.
  4. Likewise, the "L" and "N" terminals on the power supply, while technically interchangeable, are different. Good electrical practice dictates that the "N" terminal should be connected to the wire which goes to the wider prong on the plug; the narrow prong should go to the "L" terminal. A third wire (safety ground) should go from the "G" terminal to the round pin on the plug; a three-wire cord/plug is highly recommended with a metal-cased device.
